Digitized Inventory: Muséris

Discovering the full Collection de l'Art Brut via the digitized inventory Muséris.

Museums are entrusted with assembling, conserving and inventorying patrimonial objects, together with presenting said objects to the public and researchers.

The Collection de l'Art Brut holdings come to nearly 60,000 works—700 of which are on display in the permanent exhibition. To a great extent, the permanent and temporary exhibitions mounted by the museum serve as a means of informing third parties. Yet more in this sense remains to be done, since the public is left with access to but a limited percent of the holdings. The museum's data bank enables visitors to consult Collection de l'Art Brut works that are not on display; it also provides access to collections belonging to Lausanne's other cultural institutions”.
