Promenades de J.D.-J. exhibition at the MAPRA [The Rhone-Alpes House of Visual Arts] in Lyons (France) , 8-24 October 2015

"Promenades de J.D.-J" featuring Chaissac, Macréau, Boix-Vives and their mates at the crossroads between archives and works - an exhibition at the MAPRA, 8-24 October 2015.

Jean-Dominique Jacquemond (JDJ) has been directly involved with art for forty years. His lesser known activity as a painter brings to mind his passion as a collector, the counsel he proffers to other art lovers and his work as an art historian—all of which has remained part and parcel of his own artistic endeavors.
The J.D.-J Promenades exhibition testifies to this tripling of activity: the three component parts come together as one. Collector, researcher and artist stand on an equal footing. Completing the works on display is a set of archives, part of which stem from the Jacquemond Fund recently (spring 2015) donated to the Anatole Jakovsky Museum in Nice (France).

The Biennale Hors Normes [biennial for the atypical] offers a chance for unprecedented encounters, and for exchanges between an oeuvre's creator, the oeuvre itself and the visitor, on a highly personal basis.
The sixth edition of the Biennale Hors Normes, from October 9 to 18, 2015, explores the exterior facet of what is intimate to us, as a creative source and a space endowed with potential: various approaches are brought into play, including visual arts, colloquiums and live shows.

The exhibition is being held under the auspices of the sixth edition of the Biennale Hors Normes.
