The Collection de l'Art Brut is contributing to the Outer Space Faszination Weltraum du 3 octobre 2014 au 22 fevrier 2015 à la Bundeskunsthalle de Bonn (DE). (Outer Space Fascination show from 3 October 2014 to 22 February 2015 at the Art and Exhibition Hall of the Federal Republic of Germany in Bonn) with the loan of three works by Henri Darger.

Since the dawn of mankind, space has represented at once the object of all our desires, a projection surface and the target of scientific curiosity.
How did our universe come into being? Where do we come from? Do thinking civilizations exist on other planets? These are but a few of the many questions that entice philosophers and scientists, writers, film producers, dreamers and visionaries. There has been a running exchange of views between culture and science: biological and technological discoveries have unfailingly pervaded artistic productions, while visionary ideas and projects have lent vital inspiration to various scientific fields. Outer Space sheds light on such contact points in twelve chapters arranged by an association of ideas. The show features space travel artifacts, scientific pieces and science-fiction elements, which it in turn confronts with artistic suggestions from the past and from today.

The exhibition is presented by the Art and Exhibition Hall of the Federal Republic of Germany (Bonn), in collaboration with the German Aerospace Center (DLR).
