André Robillard Exhibition at the Musée des Beaux-Arts d'Orléans (France)

André Robillard's vital need to shape, create and handle materials and colors incites him to seek out objects in scrapheaps: ink cartridges, red sticky tape, light bulbs, nails ... the never-ending waste products of our consumer society. These he goes on to conglomerate with great cunning and skill, transforming them into magic and emotionally highly-charged objects.
The Orléans museum features a joyously dissonant display of some one hundred of Robillard's colorful and outsize works: weapons, space shuttles, cutouts and drawings.
