Works of the Collection de l'Art Brut at the Hopital de Saint-Alban

Several works from the Collection de l'Art Brut will be shown at the Hôpital Saint Alban (Lozère) under the heading "L'invention du lieu - Résistance et création en Guévaudan" (inventing the site - resistance and creation in Guévaudan). The hospital is contributing to the exhibition with the loan of several works by, notably, Benjamin Arneval, Aimable Jayet, Marguerite Sirvins, Jeanne-Marthe Privat and Lotte Morin.

Jointly launched by the SACPI (Saint-Alban Art Culture et Psychothérapie institionelle) Association, and the LAM Lille Métropole Musée d'art moderne, d'art contemporain et d'art brut, this show has Art Brut as its leitmotiv. Leaders in the field of modern psychotherapy have played an important role in giving their due to works created by such as Auguste Forestier, Aimable Jayet and Marguerite Sirvins within the confines of the Saint-Alban Hospital. Works of historic and contemporary dimensions, such as by Antonin Artaud or André Robillard, will also be on display.
