Biography

Brigitte Roos (b. 1952) was born in Lucerne, Switzerland. She studied at the École normale and worked as a teacher for five years, between 1973 and 1978. She then attended art school at the Schule für Gestaltung in Lucerne. Brigitte Roos completed the course, although she claims to have found it disappointing.

As a result she decided to earn her living with odd jobs, leaving enough free time to draw in the afternoons and evenings. Her works have been exhibited, especially in a particular gallery in Lucerne. She works with coloured pencils and depicts strange figures with bent limbs and wild-eyed expressions.
